LG Electronics wins three EISA Awards

/Consumer Electronics News Articles/ - AMMAN, JORDAN, August 29, 2006 - Fresh from its success at last month's reddot design awards ceremony, LG Electronics (LGE) has added another major achievement to its list. This time, the global and regional digital leader was voted the best by the European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) in the categories of 'European Plasma TV 2006-2007', 'European Digital Video Recorder 2006-2007', and 'European Home Theatre Innovation 2006-2007'.

EISA is the largest editorial multimedia organisation in Europe. It has a membership of 54 audio, mobile, electronics, video, and photo publications drawn from 18 European countries. The top officials of LGE will receive the awards during an official ceremony that is to be held on September 1st, at IFA Berlin, the world's largest consumer electronics trade fair taking place from September 1st to September 6th 2006.

While LG's bestselling plasma television, the LGE 42PC1RR, was voted as the 'best European Plasma TV model for the business year of 2006 and 2007. Its flat wall-mounted projector-AN110, won in the 'European Home Theatre Innovation' category, and its high-definition, wall-mounted DLP (Digital Light Processing) projector won the IF Award (International Forum Design), reddot Award, and IDEA (Industrial Design Excellence Award).
EISA participants also voted LGE's DVR RH200MHS as the 'European Digital Video Recorder for the business year of 2006 and 2007. This trendy digital solution takes the home entertainment experience to an entirely new level, delivering enhanced video and audio and providing innovative recording capabilities with a250 GB hard disk.

The winning products for the EISA awards are recognised for possessing the most advanced technology, desirable features, satisfying ergonomics, and being the ultimate expression of design and best value for money. EISA recognises the features most likely to be appreciated by technology-aware public seeking high quality and creative facilities.
