The non-volatile memory card features dual channels of data throughput to achieve the high-speed reading of 233X (approximately 35MB/per sec), and high-speed writing of 100X (about 15MB/per second). Read and write speeds will vary depending on the device used. The card also offers low power consumption with automatic power management and conforms to the Compact Flash Association Standard.

CIS is implemented with 256 bytes of attribute memory. The CF cards also supports 8 or 16 bit host transfers with any host speed using IORDY and has Error Correction Code (ECC) embedded. Apart from faster speeds, Ridata Lightning cards also are very durable and can withstand extreme temperatures ranging from below freezing to very high heat.
The Ridata Compact Flash Series has a MSRP of $60 for 4GB, $100 for 8GB and $190 for 16GB. Initial distribution is planned for early September in North America.
